RwandAir to Extend Service in Abidjan this October

Rwandair-AbidjanIt is not just the addition of new aircraft and the launch of long haul flights, which has put RwandAir into the spotlight of African aviation of late.

RwandAir which is one of the latest fleet in Africa is a high flyer by standards. With the arrival of two (2) brand-new Airbus A330 aircrafts as well as two (2) brand-new Boeing B737-800NG crafts in Kigali, RwandAir is expected to increase the number of countries  (destinations) across western and southern Africa. RwandAir is currently a great transporter for several holiday makers visiting for a Safari in Rwanda

As earlier reports revealed, RwandAir will launch operation in Harare in the month of January 2017 however the good news is that this arrangement come October this year will actually be ready to start operation.

From 2nd October, 2016; RwandAir fly will be flying 3 times every week to Abidjan through Accra, on Sunday, Friday and Tuesday every week using the B737-800NG.

This will increase the number of Flights into Accra from the current 6 flights each week to daily flight and of these, three will be continuous (nonstop).

The flight currently going to Accra through Lagos are going to reduce to 4 from 6 and these will be on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Lagos on the other hand is going to be served every day by a Boeing B737-800NG.

And additional route starting 2nd September 2017 is going to become operational with flight WB 214/5 serving Douala, Libreville as well as Cotonou respectively. Actually destination Cotonou is also a new listing on RwandAir’s routes as was announced by John Mirenge the C.E.O of RwandAir.

Within East Africa flights to Dar es Salaam from Kigali are going to be combined with a stop-over in Arusha or Kilimanjaro with flight WB 448/9 using the services of Bombardier Q400NG four times each week.
