Rwanda Development Board to effect new Licensing Tourism Rules

rwanda-development-boardLast evening, it was revealed that come December 2016, Tour operators, safari guides, travel agents, in addition to providers of accommodation, nightclubs restaurants as well as bars will be required to obtain licenses for their businesses from the tourism department of the Rwanda Development Board

Finally, this law which was passed 2 years back is coming to effect and all concerned tourism stakeholders were appropriately informed for that reason during a meeting that was organized by the Rwanda Tour and Travel Association for all its members.

During the workshop, staff members of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) were providing appropriate information as one of the items of the day’s agenda, to notify companies to these forthcoming changes as well as the importance of complying with those regulations.

At the start of this month, RDB organized a 12th edition of the Kwita Izina, an annual event during which baby mountain gorillas are given names. The event attracted thousands of visitors into the country who came to be part of this amazing event.
