CLOUDS GORILLA LODGE.
This is the most luxurious and one of the best and quite lodges in Bwindi national park along the rift valley with all the luxurious facilities of the highest standards and it’s located in the southern part of Bwindi national park which is a habitant for a large population of gorillas. The lodge is decorated with the Ugandan artwork especially the carvings and it is also noted to be the most expensive accommodation facility in Bwindi because a reasonable amount goes to the community development service, this the commitment to the development of the area and so this is how the community benefits from the gorillas in their area.
The lodge consists of 8 well spaced bed roomed stone cottages that have got a twin en-suite bathroom, a fire place to keep their rooms warm especially on the cold evenings and each of the room accesses the beautiful view of the Virunga Volcanoes and the forest. Two of these rooms are double rooms perfect for those who travel as a family or as friends together. The lodge has got 6 fire places at the lounge on the main block where they can all meet during the moment of relaxing and to ensure that they stay warm enough especially during in the cold days and on the same block is the reception, the dinning room shop and bar.
The rooms have got sheltered verandahs providing room for relaxation and may be enjoy a cup of tea/coffee or wines as you enjoy the scenery and are surrounded by very beautiful gardens to add to the beauty of the landscape. They also have got both the hot and cold water flowing, electricity supply is available in all the tents.

Pay $475 or Euros 395 per person sharing the room per night.
Food is prepared from a well equipped restaurant by clean and experienced chiefs who make the best receips; it is served when it’s hot by warm and friendly waiters who make you feel at home and you enjoy your meals. They have both the local dishes and the international dishes so as to serves people from allover the world.
Activities to engage in while staying at the camp.
- Can go for gorilla tracking and the largest group is the Nkurigo group of gorillas.
- Get involved in the Nkuringo community development fund programs and in this case, local people are able to benefit from all the visitors who come to this place.
While staying at the clods lodge, all that you may need will be provided before you can even ask for it by the efficient workers at the lodge however it is also good if you ca ask for any thing you may need but seems to be left un attended to.
