Revenue from Murchison Falls to increase

The revenue received from Murchison Falls National Park will increase according to the Uganda Wildlife Authority because of the aggressive marketing, the current expedition managed by the Royal Geographical Society and the development of the new tourist attractions.

Dr.Andrew Seguya the executive Director   of UWA said in 2011-2012 financial year, the park collected sh6.8b in revenue

With the modern technology and the skills of the National Geographic Society, the real spot where Baker stood for the first time to see Lake Albert has been discovered.

Fisher said he had been tracing Sir Samuel Baker’s footsteps from Egypt through Sudan and has finally reached Uganda.

The park has a number of attractions like the beautiful landscapes, the waterfalls, Fort Patiko where Sir Samuel Baker fought slave trade though it has not been developed as a tourist attraction.
