Rwanda air opens up Rwanda to the rest of Africa

Rwanda Air now serving about 15 destinations out of their hub in Rwanda’s capital Kigali, they include Accra, Lagos, Douala, Libreville and Brazzaville in West Africa, then to Johannesburg in South Africa and to Entebbe, Juba, Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Mwanza in East Africa. There is also a Dubai which is the only destination outside the African continent.

The airline in early November confirmed  that a second Bombardier A400NextGen will next year  join the fleet of 7 planes that they have already which include the two B737-800NG’s, two B737-700NG’s, two Bombardier CRJ900NextGen’s and one Bombardier Q400NextGen Turboprop and then another B737-800NG will be delivered in 2016.

Hopefully, there will be more destinations in Southern and Western Africa by 2015. The airline is also considering flying to China and Europe but there are no specifics as yet.

A lot more tourists and other travelers are using the airline; there are more than half a million passengers per year. The easier the transport means become, the higher the chances of receiving tourists to visit tghe different tourists ites like the volcanoes national park, historical places like the genocide memorial centres, among others and  thus a growth in the tourists business, hence an increase in the revenue in the country.
