Rwanda hosts the tourism conference

Rwanda has had the honor to host a two-day international conference that started on  yesterday 3^rd June and end on 4^th and it will attract will  attract different scholars from the travel and tourism industry. This is according to the event organizer at the Rwanda Tourism University in Kigali.

The conference will be held under the theme “African tourism in global society” and they expect over 130 international scholars as well as experts from different parts of the world so as to improve on the  improve on social and economic challenges facing the  hospitality industry.

Meanwhile Callixte Kabera who is the preacher at the Rwanda Tourism University said that the university will serve as a host under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education to make tourism an important tool towards the development of the socio economic services by concentrating on the unutilized resources in the different areas in tourism.

Hosting this meeting will be a grand opportunity for Rwanda to become a hub of international conferences and during the conference, lecturers from different institutions will be given an opportunity to  express and exchange views and expertise all in an effort to pave way fro growth within the  tourism industry.

Karel Werdler who is a Senior lecturer at Hogeschool Holland in the Netherlands said that Rwanda is popularly known for its hospitality. The industry should therefore exploit all the resources because there are still some areas in tourism that have not been exploited  fully  like Bird watching, mountain gorilla viewing, and Business Travel as well as Cultural values so said Werdler.
