The once Dark Rwanda Shines as one of the best Africa Safari Destinations

This beautiful experiences a cool climate and has beautiful rolling landscapes that are covered by an evergreen vegetation but even more worth noting are the outstandingly hospitable people. The Rwanda Genocide Memorial Sites

The exact places where the murder was done were converted into genocide-memorial sites and now are some of the top tourist attractions in the country that reveal the dark history this country has experienced. When you visit the genocide memorials, you will be able to see some of the mass graves in which the victims were buried; you will see some skeletons and a number of items that were collected during that time including blood-stained clothing and rosaries. Among the commonly visited genocide memorials in Rwanda are the Murambi genocide memorial and the Gisozi genocide memorial among others

Each of these genocide memorial sites is opened every week day from 8:00am to 5:00pm with the exception of public holidays as well as the Omuganda (which is the day for general cleaning conducted each last Saturday of every month). There is an affordable Entrance fee however a donation can be made after the tour. However all visitors should remember that photographs are totally not allowed unless with special performance.

The Mountain gorillas

Mountain gorillas living in volcanoes national park are equally among the best attractions to see while on Safari in Rwanda. The Mountain gorillas are among the world’s most endangered species and currently can only be seen in just 3 counties in the world (which are Rwanda, Uganda and the D.R Congo). There are ten habituated mountain gorilla groups living in Volcanoes national park and these can be tracked all year round by tourists. The Beautiful Lake Kivu

Akagera National Park
