Turkish Airlines enters Rwanda’s market

Turkish airlines has entered Rwanda’s market making three new airlines in the market this year. The Star Alliance member has joined South African Airways, Brussel Airlines, and Ethiopian Airlines in Kigali making Rwanda the world alliance with the most links into and within Africa.

Turkish Airline will operate three times a week between Kigali and Instanbul, offering a cargo capacity of up to 7 tons. The Airline  has signed an extensive MOU with Rwanda Air and schedule alignment, technical cooperation have been agreed but no code sharing has been agreed upon..

Turkish Airlines operates to 150 international destinations. The coming of the Turkish Airline will create more seats to the market and allow travelers to avoid other regional airports and come directly to Rwanda. The airline will improve Rwanda and attract more visitors.

The new airlines will help Rwanda to show the world that they can host conferences and meetings just like the way they can host tour groups and individuals who come see the gorillas, different bird species and hike the Congo Nile Trail.
