Hotel owners at the coast have informed the tourists to believe the security alert that the UK government issued as an ordinary travel guide.
The Mombasa and Coast Tourist Association chairman Mohamed Hersi said there is no need to ring an alarm because the situation is under control. They are working with the police and all security officials in the region to make sure all tourists enjoy themselves.
The UK government has said Kenya has been at risk of being attacked by the terrorists like the Al Qaeda because they have been fighting against the Al Shabaab rebels in Somalia.
Hersi has told visitors about engaging in unknown activities that may cause alarm but should follow police instructions.
The threat alert has been too small to have an impact on the hotel and tourism sector because they have enough preparations to handle any incidence.
There is enough security in all places especially the hotels so no one should fear.
