Rwanda trains more conservationists

There are about 433 students that will soon receive their degrees in various disciplines during the third graduation ceremony at Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC) so said the RTUC Vice-Chancellor, Callixte Kabera.

He added that the ceremony will be held at petit stade Remera and they expect that these are highly competitive graduates capable of creating their own jobs and help to boost the tourism industry. It is important that they are able to create their own jobs and that is why the courses are 60 per cent hands-on since its just 85% of their graduates that get jobs in big companies like hotels and the rest have to create their own jobs.

The students train in entrepreneurship and professional service delivery, a major component of economic development. This will be a very good tool for them to use in their life.  There are 138 students graduating in travel and tourism management. Such people are a great asset to the country as they help RDB in wildlife conservation. Tourism is a significant sector and yields a huge sum of revenue for the country which is used for development.

Tourists can only be interested in visiting a country if there is something to see. For that reason more conservationists are required to help protect all the different historical sites, national parks withier primates, birds, water bodies, among so may others. Hopefully, they will do a good job.
