Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed less air accidents in 2011 compared to 2010.in 2011, 12 air accidents have been recorded and two aircrafts crashed. In 2010, air accidents left 2 dead while 10 with serious injuries and a total of four aircrafts had to be written off.
The improvement in the results has been due to the powerful training, maintence of requirements, following the airworthiness orders. Flying of tourists in Tanzania is a big importance to face the often huge distances from one game park to the next whereas Tanzanians depend on scheduled and charter flights to go for their businesses in Dar es Salaam the capital or to other East African country.
