UWA RECEIVES RESCUE EQUIPMENT

Climbing Mt.Rwenzori which is one of the highest mountains in the Africa has been made easier because the Uganda Wildlife Authority has received rescue equipment incase a tourist is stuck up in the mountains.

The equipment includes a cascade litter when a patient is hurt and unable to move, rescue pulleys, climbing and descending ropes among other and they are from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).the agency has also offered training services for UWA staff and will provide skills to the staff but increase its power to move in the mountains.

UWA Acting Executive Director Elly Musinguzi said the equipment is fast and will help rescue in a capable way.
