Day 1: – Pick up from the Airport, go for the city tour and transfer to Ruhengeri
The 3-day gorilla trekking safari can be a really quick on. Depending on the time you arrive in Kigali, you may or may not have the time to enjoy the Kigali city tour. This includes visiting historical places in Kigali like the most popular Kigali genocide memorial center with your guide. Kigali is Rwanda’s Capital City, the largest and also the cleanest city in Africa. Day 2: Go for gorilla tracking.
Breakfast will be served very early so you can be at the park headquarters by 7 am for briefing before you start the gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park. Park rangers do the briefing about the hiking and tracking process before you meet the gorilla and also when you meet them. There is a 99% chance you will meet these gorillas but the amount of time you spend tracking is unpredictable that is why you have to carry your packed lunch. Gorilla tracking is a tiresome activity but it is very rewarding once you meet the gorillas. You will have an hour to spend with the gorillas before you walk back to the starting point. Once you meet the gorillas, you are free to take as many photos and videos as you wish.
Some gorilla tracking groups are so close that it will take you about 5 hours and you should be back in the afternoon. Having a couple of hours to spare and go visit the Twin lakes if you wish, the Ellen Museum and so much more.
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali.
